Charlie Silly Pants has moved into a new house but there’s a problem, the house is very sad! The bins are all sick, the creatures have left the garden, the clouds above are grumpy and it’s not a happy place to be around. The only way that Charlie can make it better is to listen to the environment around him. Throughout the show Charlie and the children will help re-build the house and garden with their “magic” green thumbs and lots of laughter of course!

OUTCOME 1: IDENTITY
Children have a strong sense of identity when they explore and engage with the topics of the environment by identifying and explaining their own personal experiences within their home and their feelings and ideas around improving the environment.
OUTCOME 2: COMMUNITY
Children are connected with and contribute to their world, when they understand the interdependence between, land, people, plants and animals and seeing the characters caring for the land and respecting the natural environment in order to benefit everyone.
OUTCOME 3: WELLBEING
Children have a strong sense of wellbeing when they have an increased awareness of healthy lifestyles and good nutrition.
OUTCOME 4: LEARNING
Children are confident and involved learners when they express and describe their thoughts to others about the environment and how it makes them feel by using their imagination through play and creativity.
OUTCOME 5: COMMUNICATION
Children are effective communicators when they Dance and move to music to express ideas and engage with the characters by acting out roles within the show.

Inclusions

  • All Pre-School shows are structured around VEYLDF (Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework) outcomes and have PDF sheets to easily link towards. These outcomes can also translate to the Victorian Curriculum for schools.
  • PDF posters to promote the show and allow children to familiarise with the characters to build anticipation.
  • Pre-show colour in activity to create bowtie name tag.
  • All shows have magic tricks, puppets, loads of props, music and dancing.
